I wanted to comment on the manscaping section.I think it's personal choice, some women prefer their men to be hairy.I like my woman hairy down south, and I'm not the only one that feels this way either.I think it's age as well(I'm 47)it seems like a modern attitude towards hair.If you look at old porn,or adult magazines the women were for the most part unshaven.Hey some people don't like it,but I do,and that just that, but I am it seems in the minority by todays standards. The cyclists did have it right! Myself, I like hairy legs on a guy and I know girls who like chest hair on guys. I personally like the policy of "I'll shave when you shave." It's funny how we've finally unloaded our beauty standards on men, and they're responding in much the same way women do/did - paying way too much money for designer labels, undergoing ridiculous spa treatments, dieting and working out to look better, experiencing depression if they don't meet these media-endorsed standards, all in the name of making oneself more attractive. It's liberating!

Real men are supposed to be furry, not some hairless androgynous freak. Trimming is just fine. There's no need to go overboard and de-fur yourself completely. And besides, fur provides better traction. All hail the FUR!

I don't like advertisers to try to tell me what or who is "attractive". Just to sell a new gadget. Let's get our freedom of thought back up there in our priorities. Let's get down to earth.

I found most women I have dated find a man that trims his eyebrows, his nasal hairs, hairs on his ears, manicures his nails prides himself in how he presents himself and is quite hygenically responsible. They all liked that.

Interesting article. While I agree that excessive hairiness on the back and butt are a turn off, for myself no hair or not much is as well. Part of what makes a man a man (appearance wise at least) is hair and mine have to have some fur! When it comes to grooming I am tired of grooming practices crossing gender lines, resulting in the "metrosexual", male grooming gone mad...

Has anyone tried to shave the bikini zone of a man? It's a several hour endeavour requiring tape and mirrors! And I never seem to get it all. I keep it trimmed, but not baby smooth.

Excessive maybe should be a concern, but I think the hairless thing is getting out of hand, A man with NO hair on his chest is too boyish for my liking.

I guess I'm different than a lot of women in that I LOVE hairy men. I love hairy chests, hairy backs.. and I don't care if their butt has hair or not. Nose hair and ear hear is not attractive. I do like groomed brows and beards. Otherwise, Mr. Hairy Chest, ring me up.. I love running my fingers through that rug on your pecs!

Guys SHOULD be hairy in certain places- it's part of what makes them manly. But I have to draw the line when it comes to shoulders, backs, and butts. That's just not sexy. And if guys complain about having to groom those areas, ask them how'd they feel if we stopped shaving our legs!

I don't think any woman wants a man who looks like he's wearing a gorilla suit, but I actually prefer men to have chest hair and face hair (I love the stubble, maybe I watched too much Miami Vice growing up). Men who are too into their own hair removal seem too metrosexual and less masculine to me. As women, I think we should at least try to be somewhat tolerant of aspects of a man's physical appearance that are less than ideal, because that's what we all want from them!

Are we all becoming asexual? Wanting men and women to be the same in every way? ! Whats wrong with everyone? Hair on the body is no more or less "dirty" or not than hair on the head! I suppose if it makes you feel good, do it, like everything. But if you don't want to shave and be prickly, don't feel pressured. There is someone who will like you just the way you are, out there somwehere.

I love hairy men. I find it entirely natural and very manly. Each to their own I guess, we can't all be into the same things. Thank Goodness really! We are all unique and someones ideal man or woman. peace and love x

There is nothing like trying to weed through a forest to get to your long awaited retreat. Manscaping is in my opintion a neccesity. We woman go through waxing to have things visually appealing down there and we would like to expect the same. It not only shows that a man cares about his appearance, but it also shows that he is willing to make the effort to make the slug more appealing to us as well.

My previous girlfriends didn't seem to care, even if I had asked them. But their answers sounded unsure.

It's amusing that this article hints that women find body hair so gross, yet the recently conducted poll totally shoots down this "dating expert" and the other people she quotes. I know that media and pop culture is trying to make men become hairless mannequins like we see in the magazines but the fact is most women don't care for that look.

Great, so I'm not the only female who absolutely hates hair on men! It's nice knowing I'm not alone thinking my thought. I like seeing the man's skin, and not the fur that covers a possibly beautiful body. I take care of myself too. It's not fair if I want my man hairless and he can't get what he wants.

The problem is that men aren't all that conscientious about keeping up with the "private" shaving. And nothing is worse than being with someone whose hair is just starting to grow back in! OUCH!

This article is funny as hell! It's about time we women expected our guys to "prune back the hedges" a bit. It's a fair exchange, I'd say, for the countless hours we've spent battling our haireas to please them. Kudos Lisa!

I'm sorry, but I find it odd for a man to be hair free "down there". I dont like hairy backs or chest but I prefer my man to hair down there.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Finally, someone said it. If we have to go through all that painful and endless grooming so should men.

Totally agree. If they all expected us to be all clean looking and well groomed, we expect them to be all clean looking and well groomed as well. Especially the bottom part and the bum part. Hairy bum = turn offs....

I enjoy the trimmed or even shaved look. Even though I am not excessively hairy, it makes me feel sexier.
