Rose says, "The most important use of Reiki in finding love is to heal oneself first. Without first healing your own wounds, you will most likely be unable to create a healthy romantic relationship.
"Once you have addressed your own places of self-judgment, fear and dysfunction, you can then use Reiki in other areas of your life to move to a place of wholeness. Once you have attained a mindset of wholeness and integration, you can then use Reiki to fully energize your intention to attract a perfect mate; this is done through the practice of consistent meditation and visualization."
The good news? You can Reiki yourself. The bad news? You need some specialized training, so you might be better off Googling for Reiki practitioners in your local area.
You Are Getting Ve-eeeeeee-rrrr-yyyy Sleepy: Hypnosis and Love
New York-based Debra Berndt is a Certified Hypnotic Love Coach who coaches singles by using hypnosis to clear blocks in their subconscious so that they can attract love.
What are the most common "blocks" for someone seeking a relationship?
Berndt says she finds "that what singles want on a conscious level and what they think they deserve on the subconscious level are not congruent. The most common block is insecurity or feeling they do not deserve love.
"Many are aware that they lack confidence but do not know how to shift it on the deep, emotional level. It is one thing to understand your issue and another to transcend it. Much of the dating advice single people receive just sits on the surface of their mind and rarely translates down to the subconscious level so there is a disconnect between what they want and the type of relationships they are attracting.
"Ultimately, they need to release/clear subconscious beliefs such as not being good enough, unlovable, unworthy, ugly, etc. so they can have a relationship that mirrors higher quality beliefs."
According to Berndt, "The subconscious mind is like a sponge until the age of 10 and then a filter forms to block new ideas after that age. Most of our core beliefs were stored at a very young age before we had the logic or wisdom of an adult. That is why some people are puzzled at their behavior when their conscious mind is saying 'I should know better.' You hear people mention that their heart is telling them one thing and their head is telling them another. The conscious mind is the logic and the subconscious is the emotional part."
How does releasing those blocks help us find love?
"What hypnosis does is create an opening/doorway to the subconscious (relaxes the filter previously formed at 10)," says Berndt. "The mind is more open to new ideas when in a light trance so that new beliefs such as 'I am lovable and worthy of a healthy relationship' can sink in to the deeper part of the mind that is responsible for everything a person experiences in life."
The good news is that you don't have to be a full-on believer for hypnosis to work for you. Berndt says, "Just the simple act of saying, 'Let's see what happens' is enough to have it work."
Blow the Golden Bubble
Last, New York clairvoyant and spiritual teacher Christine Agro says she always tells her clients, "If you are looking for love, you need to get out of your own way."
Agro says, "Our desire to find love and our intense focus on it (almost desperation at times) can actually stop love from coming in."
She suggests that those looking for love do a five-step "trust and faith" exercise:
· Make a mental list of the qualities they desire in a partner
· Visualize a gold bubble
· Place that mental list in the gold bubble
· Release the bubble to the universe so the person with those qualities can come in
· Place your focus on something other than finding love
Changing your focus shouldn't be too difficult, right? After all, you now have all these nifty New-Age techniques to keep you busy.
