Twitter: In February 2009, there were roughly five million Twitter users. By May, there are 23 million+. That's nearly 400% growth in three months. (source: Istratgey Labs)

 

Microsoft: Live, Hotmail, Messenger: Number of active WL IDs: More than 500 million active Windows Live Ids. Number of Hotmail Users: More than 375 million active accounts worldwide. Number of Messenger Users: More than 320 million active accounts worldwide. (Source: This Guy)

 

Flickr, Yahoo: Flickr is the third largest social network in the U.S. and attracts more than 76 million unique users. In the past year, Flickr has grown from 42 million to 76 million monthly unique visitors worldwide – an 81% increase.
